Swim Course
Details
This 3K (approx. 1.85 miles) swim begins at the ocean side of the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge near Ft. Point Beach and goes under the Golden Gate Bridge past the north tower and finishes at Finger Point Rock. The swim is held at the end of the flood tide (west to east current).
Water Entry and Transporation
Once the ferry is in position and we have been given the “all-clear”, the swimmers will exit the Dauntless and swim to the floating start line and wait for the Start signal. Swimmers will then swim the length of the bridge, touch Finger Point rock and then take the boat back to Hype Pier.
