La Ruta Open Water Swim
Exotic Costa Rica is the venue for this swim in the tropical water of the Central Pacific Coast of the most biodiverse country in the planet. The swim will start in Hermosa Beach well known for its good surfing waves and will finish 7km later at Jaco Beach. It's a 7km swim but we will be helped with the incoming tide so the effort is aprox. for a 4km swim.
Who organizes it?
Roman Urbina and his adventure expert team... same team that organizes LA RUTA DE LOS CONQUISTADORES (Toughest MTB race on the planet) Roman has 30 plus year of experience surfing Hermosa Beach, first swimmer to cross the Gulf of Nicoya 25km swim, has organized multiple open water swimming events in Costa Rica including the swim across the Gulf of Nicoya 6 times. Has participated and finished Swim Around Key West... 21km swim (the year it was cancelled due to rough waters and big waves and only a handful of 20 or less were able to finish.) Participated in Tiburon mile swim placed 16th.
"None of the events we organize are easy they all have a very challenging factor" the LA RUTA OPEN WATER may have waves to deal with at the start and finish . we will have RED BULL jet ski( same that does tow in surf rescue for big wave riders) the and expert kayakers as rescue personnel. COST of the entry is $26 include t shirt and lunch.
We can arrange hotel accommodations transportation and other tours like white water rafting, horseback riding, zip line, mtb, kayaking, diving, motocross, atv and much more. We want you to come and have an adventure vacation ... a vacation with a purpose.
Hotel accommodations $170 a night double occupancy rate. Transportation from the airport to the beach where the race will start $90 per person. Breakfast is included, other meals can be purchased for $20-$30 a great dinner fresh tuna, fish or steak.
