This means this is the date we are planning on, but the Coast Guard still needs to confirm it before it's set in stone. The Coast Guard is a busy place, and it can sometimes be months before they give us approval. So how often do they not approve it? Very rarely, but if you need to book travel or otherwise need absolute certainty, you might want to wait. Just know that the swim might fill up and we don't hold spots!

This Alcatraz crossing is offered to swimmers that have crossed many times from Alcatraz to San Francisco, or for the experienced open water swimmer wanting to race Alcatraz in style for the first time! The St. Francis route, despite being 2.1mi, is faster than Aquatic Park due to sweeping currents in your favor.
This swim is a favorite among the fastest Alcatraz veterans, as well as the first timer who wants to test their swimming endurance in a competitive setting. Medals will be given to all participants with trophies for top racers. Be in it to win it!

Your registration is non-refundable. Please review our refund and rollover policies before registering.

Passenger space, please email a request to info@waterworldswim.com and we will put you on a list. If spots are available payment will be made the morning of the event with credit card. Cost is $55 per passenger. We cannot guarantee passenger space and any made available is first come, first served.
- 6:30 am Meet at St. Francis Yacht Club parking lot. We'll be boarding a shuttle to the boat.
- 7:00 am Board the boat
- 7:30 am Jump! Finish line is at St. Francis. Swimmers will not board the boat again.
