Expired Swim Around the Rock (kayak/SUP)

This swim starts off at St. Francis Beach, heads out to the west side of Alcatraz, proceeds around the back of the island, and then goes from the east side back to Aquatic Park. This is a long and challenging event for both swimmers and kayakers. It requires good coordination of kayakers and thoughtful swimmer management by individual kayakers once the pack gets very spread out.
To sign up, get a free kayaker ticket and then check your email for a registration confirmation. You must provide a valid mailing address where you can receive payment, and also to confirm at sign-in that we are paying the correct person. You may also request to be paid electronically.
Paddlers will launch from St. Francis Beach and finish at Aquatic Park

Event Schedule
8:00 am - Meet up, gear up, and sign in.
8:15 am - Briefing. Be fully ready to launch at this time.
8:30 am - Paddle out to the bell buoy on the west side of Alcatraz.
9:00 am - Swimmers jump and swim starts.
