Maggie swims the Golden Gate Bridge for Parkinson’s

 August 26, 2014

Water World Swim member Maggie Tidmore is not just participating in this year's Golden Gate Bridge race to have a one of a kind experience of one of the most iconic landmarks around - she is doing it to raise money for the National Parkinson Foundation and support her sister!

"There are two ways you can help: by donating to my fundraising goal and by sending my link to all your family and friends. By working together we are improving the quality of care, and making life better, for every person diagnosed with Parkinson's disease today and in the future. "
Maggie Tidmore

Maggie took up open water swimming in the bay this year in recognition of her own 30th birthday, and has tackled July's Island to Island swim as well as nearly every Swim With Pedro session since the start of June, becoming a committed member early on. Before the Golden Gate Bridge, she will swim August's Monthly Alcatraz. Maggie's sister Stacy was diagnosed with early onset of Parkinson's disease several years ago, so she is dedicating her Golden Gate Bridge crossing this October to the cause.

In order to raise awareness and help find a cure, her goal is to raise $2,500. Let's come together as the Water World Swim family and help Maggie and the National Parkinson Foundation!
