Volunteer for the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon
With two or more sessions, get a free Alcatraz or half off membership!

Water World Swim is officially supporting the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon and needs your help to give this world class challenge the leverage to create another fantastic event.

Please mark all the slots you are available for! Volunteer opportunities are first come first served, and Coach Rene will get in touch to confirm where you'll be needed. In return for your donated time, you could be eligible for one free Monthly Alcatraz swim, or half off membership to Water World Swim.   • 6:00 PM Need people for check-in, body marking, distributing swim caps, earplugs and waivers.

  • 5:30 AM Need people for check-in, body marking, distributing swim caps, earplugs and waivers.
  • Meet at the Water World Swim booth at Marina green to set up booth, help selling WWS items, pass out information and register swimmers for upcoming WWS swims, brief swimmers. You'll also enjoy the expo! (opens in new tab) If you've swum Alcatraz, we'd love to have you because we get a lot of questions about the swim!
  • LOCATION 1 - Aquatic Park Kayak Support 5:00-7:10am
    Help kayakers and set coffee/pastries/ and checking lists. Report to Jake Glodowski (coachjake@waterworldswim.com). He can provide you with a headcount of how much food will be needed. Get the funds from Coach Pedro (coachpedro@waterworldswim.com). The kayakers depart at 7:10am

    LOCATION 2 - Marina Green booth at Festival Village 6:30am-2:30pm (shifts vary)
    Help with selling merchandise and telling athletes about Water World Swim Events

    LOCATION 3 - St. Francis beach (swim finish) 6:00am - 9:00am
    Volunteers will need to be able to use a sledgehammer to drive rebar stakes, and they will be trained on how to use the generator to pump finish line buoys.
    You will be asked to wear an official Water World Swim cotton Swim Staff tee! Sizes are unisex and the tee is yours to keep for free 🙂
