MARCH 20, 2021 - This crossing from Alcatraz is highly challenging; swimmers may face adverse conditions with stronger run off, less forgiving weather and some of the colder temperatures we see in the Bay. APRIL 3, 2021 - This Alcatraz crossing is great for swimmers that have crossed many times from Alcatraz to San Francisco, or for the experienced open water swimmer wanting to race Alcatraz in style for the first time! The St. Francis route, despite being 1.8-2.1mi, is faster than Aquatic Park due to sweeping currents in your favor, giving all swimmers a speedy boost. READ MORE

JULY 31, 2021 - Join us for this round trip Alcatraz swim! This is our most challenging swim as swimmers must negotiate the current both ways. If you are not quick and strong enough, the tides will get the best of you. READ MORE
Golden Gate Bridge
AUGUST 1, 2021 - This 3K (approx. 1.85 mi) race begins at the ocean side of the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge near Ft. Point Beach and goes under the Golden Gate Bridge past the north tower and finishes at Finger Point Rock. This is a rare opportunity to swim one of the most thrilling open water, world class competitions ever near a legendary historical landmark with unique currents from the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay, and over the bay's deepest point at over 340 feet! Bridge to Bridge 10K
AUGUST 21, 2021 - This 10K (approx. 6.2 mi) race begins at the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and finishes at the Bay Bridge. This legendary swim is recommended for elite swimmers wanting to race between two landmark bridges in the exciting bay waters! READ MORE
Alcatraz Swim With Centurions
OCTOBER 16, 2021 - On June 11, 1962, Frank Morris and John and Clarence Anglin chipped through their cement cell walls of Alcatraz Prison and entered the frigid waters of San Francisco Bay. They disappeared into the night, wearing only the meager life preservers they made from stolen rain coats, and were never found, seen, or heard from again. READ MORE

Our Alcatraz swims are incredibly popular and are a great way to make this epic crossing with a small friendly group and without the pressure of competition. Enjoy all this swim has to offer without sweating the clock, make new friends, and enjoy a casual morning out in the bay!
These crossings are recommended for swimmers who have either taken the Water World Swim Alcatraz Swim Clinic or who feel confident and have had prior experience swimming in the open water. Because of its casual nature, this is a great way to do your first Alcatraz.
