The Full Alcatraz Circuit

What Makes This Unique
Circumnavigating Alcatraz means dealing with eddies and current reversals on the island’s northern and southern sides. Conditions vary dramatically depending on tide stage. Our team plans each event around the optimal tidal window, but swimmers should be prepared for changing conditions throughout the course.
Hall of Fame
Every swimmer who completes a full circumnavigation of Alcatraz earns a place in the Water World Swim Hall of Fame. It is one of the most exclusive achievements in Bay swimming.
